Your resume has the power to get you your dream job. It needs to be professional, polished, effective, concise and easy to read. The organizations use resume to shortlist the potential candidates. Combination resume is the combination of chronological and functional resume. It is useful for the people who have learnt their skills from unrelated sectors and would like to emphasize it. If you're a college going student with little or no working experience, you might consider using a functional or a combination resume. The structure of a combination resume is as follows:

Do's and Don'ts for creating a professional resume

Do's
  1. Customize your resume to the sector you are applying to.
  2. First page should catch the attention of the interviewer.
  3. Use bullets instead of paragraph.
  4. Use font-size 12-14.
  5. Use formal and readable fonts.
Don'ts
  1. Don't exceed two pages.
  2. Don't use slang/jargon/acronyms. 
  3. Don't exceed 3 to 5 bullets per section.
  4. Don't make spelling and grammar mistake.
  5. Don't copy the objective summary from Internet. Let it be your own.
