College life is the most useful time to develop good habits and routines that will help you in long run. Following these tips will always keep you one step ahead of others.
1. Never skip a class: Don't ever miss a class until and unless you have some very important work. Regularly pursuing classes keeps you up to date with concepts that are going in class and you don't have to depend on others to ask about what was taught in the class.
2. Separate notebooks: Make separate notebooks for each subject...doing this you will be more sorted and you don't have to flatter over the pages in one single notebook to find the concepts of different subjects.
3. Be responsible: You are an adult now, so don't depend on spoon-feeding to get the notes from your professors and expecting from them to make you write about each and every single topic in the class...take some responsibility and act like a grown up. Make your own notes and revise them every other day. If you face any difficulty in understanding the concepts contact your professors to clear it.
4. Planning: Start planning...don't wait for the last day to study...this will leave you in a mess and you won't be getting the desired results. For planning you can use a planner or you can make your own DIY planner from notebook. In this planner, write the topics and assignments to be covered in a day or in a week. You can do the planning according to your exam schedule.
5. Set Goals: Start with small goals like..., making goals for a day then move on to goals for weeks and then goals for the months. Make goals and follow your routines sincerely to see the results in a short period of time only.
6. Workout: Exercise or workouts are also important... if you can't invest an hour then at least take 15 minutes out of your schedule to practice some exercises. Workout sessions keeps your body more fit and healthy.
7. Meals: Take meals on proper time and please don't skip your meals...especially your breakfast. Your 15 minutes of morning sleep won't fetch you anything but your proper breakfast in the morning will surely give you plenty of energy to carry out your activities for the day.
8. Drink water: Drink plenty of water daily so that your body won't get dehydrated. Always carry your own water-bottle.
9. Regular breaks: Take regular 10-15 minutes breaks while studying subjects consecutively and also keep approx 50-55 minutes session for each subject.
10. Happy Desk: Happy desk implies clean and organized desk. Don't mess in your room...keep it simple and organized. A clean environment makes more impact on your studies.
